The University of Massachusetts Amherst has been ranked the #1 university dining program in the United States for at least the last six years or more. UMass Dining Services operates one of the largest and most comprehensive self-operated food service programs in the nation.
We plan to include lunch as part of the conference registration and then will provide individual pay options for participants for breakfasts and dinners.
Breakfasts and Lunch
As part of their conference registration, conference participants to get a food card that will provide you 10 meals in the the Worcester Commons Dining Hall, a relatively short walk from the Campus Center. Both are air-conditioned facilities.
You can also purchase a variety of food types at the UMass Campus Center’s Blue Wall but this is not covered with your conference food card.
Dinners
As part of your conference registration you will have free access to the conference reception buffet on Monday June 17th and the conference banquet on Tuesday June 18th. Wednesday June 17th through Friday June 20th people are on their own for dinner.
While you can eat those dinners at the UMass Blue Wall, you can also go to downtown Amherst. UMass has a public bus system should conference participants want to go to downtown Amherst restaurants or to a grocery store. These all are a few miles away, so it is potentially walkable.
A public bus trip planner is here (with UMass Amherst’s Campus Center to downtown Amherst set on it).
We will provide information on how to use the bus-to-grocery store system at the start of the conference so people living in our on-campus dorm options with kitchens can use that facility to make their own breakfasts or dinners (or even lunches).
