Information for In-Person Participants

From June 8th through June 20th, this is where IN-PERSON participants can find information we think you should know.

1. Submitting presentation slides

There are two options for submitting presentation slides for in-person participants:

Option 1 (preferred option): Use this Google Form to upload a powerpoint or PDF file or share a link to a Google Slides presentation. These links will be made available through this spreadsheet. The Panel room coordinator will then download your file to the panel podium laptop or will open your link in a browser on the podium laptop.

Option 2 (only if Option 1 doesn’t work for you!). There will be a USB stick with the lectern laptop to use to manually upload to the panel podium laptop.

2. Web map of the UMass Campus

  • Visit: https://tinyurl.com/4vvh4juk
  • Graciously developed by UMass grad student Andy Atallah

3. Parking your car at UMass Amherst

Participants with a car should park at the Campus Center Garage. IASC conference participants get a 50% discount on parking, using the conference code 25SC. Below are directions as you drive in the garage:

  1. ENTER. Welcome! Your license plate is recorded upon entry.
  2. PARK. Find a spot and pull right in.
  3. PAY. Head to a garage pay station. The discount coupon codes are not valid on the ParkMobile app. You must pay at a kiosk in order to receive the discounted rate.
    • Enter your license plate information
    • Select how many hours you plan to stay
    • Choose ‘Yes’ to enter a coupon code to get 50% off
    • Enter the 25SC coupon code
    • Insert credit card to pay
    • Press ‘OK’ to print a receipt or ‘Cancel’ if a receipt is not required
    • Enter your cell phone number to get a reminder text and extend your time if needed
  1. ATTEND. Enjoy your stay, and drive right out of the garage when you’re ready to leave!

FAQs

Q. PRE-RECORDED PRESENTATION VIDEOS? My panel is asking people to pre-record video presentations for others to watch before our panel session. Where do I share my pre-recorded video?

A: Use this Google Form to upload it. Others will immediately be able to find your video in this view-only spreadsheet that is also linked at the top of our Panel Information page.

Q. How can I take a bus from UMass Amherst to downtown Amherst? Or a bus from Amherst to the nearby town of Northampton?

A. The local public bus system is called PVTA. There is a nice bus trip planner application here (in this case showing the bus from the Campus Center to downtown Amherst).
